So sad about the many trees that were blown over, and the "Black South-Easter" created so many damages all over the place. A horde of municipality teams were out and busy cleaning up in the streets today. Truckloads of cut-up tree trunks and branches were taken away by the tree-felling contractors. So at least there will be abundant firewood this winter to keep all of the homes warm.

At least your municipality teams are functioning, cannot say the same here....
If wood is collected, cut and stores close to townships it would assist the poor communities greatly going into Winter.

Shame yes, service delivery has gone to the dogs in so many municipalities.
Problem is fires, as if one shack catches alight, then it's mayhem, as the shacks are close together and some of them have gas bottles inside. You can imagine what happens if one gas bottle blows up in a fire.
