The Kaikoura rockfall protection bridge always fascinated me every time I drive through it, and I always wish to stop, but it happens to be a busy section of the road with a windy bend that makes me to consider other motorists and just continue with my drive.
On this day, as I drove with my colleague and with me on the passenger seat, I had the opportunity to record a video and take photos, which I am happy with.
The rockfall protection is to prevent rockfalls onto the road. There's a similar bridge in the Westcoast of the same purpose.
It's just another one of my typical days on NZ roads.
