I know I have shared photos of Lake Tekapo in the past, but who says we aren't presented with a different kind of beauty of the lake every day with different moods of weather.
Each time I drive past Lake Tekapo, it is always a struggle to keep going and not stop. On this occasion, I had to stop not only to break the long drive for refreshment but for the stunning views of Lake Tekapo and, of course, for photos and videos.
On this day, the lake is so blue with blue sky above with the mountains behind, all making the views so stunning ๐
Oh I am going to stop there again, hopefully in winter for another beautiful view.

Wow, this is really a beautiful place, the water is also very clear. I imagine being able to walk on rocks in the water must be very pleasant.
I like the the water is clear and rocks can be seen at the bottom. Lake Tekapo ranks up there as my favorite lake in NZ.

I'm glad you're getting some time to see the country! That area is beautiful! I like Wakatipu - the drive from Queenstown to Glenorchy is fantastic. People like Wanaka, too, but it's more developed than Tekapo.
Queenstown being very developed (and expensive) means you can get some nice lake cruises and even a flight over to Milford Sound to do a cruise in the Sound. Yes, the flights are costly, but if you hit a fine day, it's an unbeatable scenic experience.
Lake Wakatipu is an absolute beauty also, I stopped there on my way to Milford Sound in January.
Lake Wanaka too is a gorgeous one, I like Wanaka it is like a smaller Queenstown.
I have not flew over Milford Sound but I did the Milford Sound cruise in January and it was truly worth the long drive from Christchurch.
Milford Sound is unbelievably beautiful. Like I told my friend, God was showing off when he created Milford Sound.
