The cold air bites my shoulders and leaves a kiss on my cheek, this must be the rainy season 'round here. It has been raining cats and dogs these past few weeks and as a tropical country we all are unwelcoming to the thunderstorms that come and go.
This must have been mentioned by me a couple of days ago however it is worth re-sharing: I sorely miss the beach and the sunny days despite the sticky feeling under the sun.
In this post I am about to share with you things I love doing by the beach, in NO particular order but there are numbers just because it is easier so:
(1) Sit still by the shore, comfortably. Slowly ~ take deep breaths - the salty air is good for you. Empty your mind and be intentionally present.
(2) Bring a book with you and read it. Nature will help you bring more imagination and spark creativity. And might as well write a few things when you get the chance. [optional]
(3) Eat!!! There are tons of great sea foods that, so long as you are not allergic, are a sensation to your taste buds. Yummm! This is the perfect time to chat and have long conversations with whoever you are with by the beach.
(4) Take photos of the place - sand, sea, shore, waves, sun, day. Make sure the memories are kept "stored" in every photograph.
(5) Take selfies with your gang/pals/best of friends! (Or special someone) These would surely be a source of fun when you're old and wrinkled and you look back about how ~awesome~ was it to be young once.
(6) Pose with your beach outfits like this is imperative (for the blog and the gram HAHA).
(7) Take selfies while you're at it. At least you can show these to your grandkids someday who knows haha.
(8) Take it all in - the view. This life is pretty great, huh? The stories behind the travel (planning, preparations, the journey to the place, the shared experience of laughter and joy and sadness, the going back home with sea-tanned hearts) outweighs anything else that there ever would be.
