Funny, I was going to say that exact same thing in the blog, but left it out...they are in between a fox and wolf. They dive headfirst into the snow looking for mice just like a fox.... There is cross breeding between wolves and coyotes..called coy wolfs...
The coy wolf loses all resemblance to a fox, it is very large, but it is curious that the coyote uses the same mouse hunting technique as the fox.
