Sometime last week, I visited my favourite eatery with my friend to get some food. I had a photo session that day and was so fatigued that I didn't have the energy to prepare any meal.
Whilst my friend was busy placing an order, I was busy admiring the whole setup of the eatery. I've been there so many times that I can't count,but the ambience of the place never ceases to amaze me.
The lights, the colors, the seat arrangements. The place feels like a perfect scene for a romantic date in a movie. I've always imagined shooting a couple there, but the company's policy doesn't allow professional photographs there.
After some seconds admiring the setup, I brought my phone out and worked my magic. Took some photos and placed my order, got it, and left.
I knew what I wanted with the photos I took. A cinematic scene, and I was able to achieve that with a simple tweak; the fade curve.
Fading is a technique used to raise shadows or blacks in a photograph. And this is achieved easily by a curve pattern;
It's amazing for night time photos.

Here are the photos before I color graded them
I'm pleased with how the results turned out. What do you think?
I captured the scene with my smartphone; Redmi Note 7. Doesn't smell the list of great smartphone cameras. But it's pretty decent.
Oh! I forgot to say, I entirely enjoyed the meal I ordered last time. It's a new delicacy of rice they call "Hot and spicy". I really enjoyed it. It made me sweat. It rained today, and I'm a bit cold. Maybe some hot and spicy rice will do. 😁
it sure does have that beautiful ambience, a sort of warm and tranquil feel, very romantic.
Great shots too.
