Sculptures, David and Goliath and other, from the National Museum of the Republic of Serbia

Hello, I will present to you several photos (paintings, sculptures) from the National Museum in Belgrade.
Two sculptures that stood out to me, namely an aesthetic sculpture and an eagle that is a symbol of intelligence, untouchability, etc.

The first and my favorite painting is by Nicolas Rainier, a painter who was greatly influenced by Caravaggio. He painted the authentic "David with the head of Goliath". It was painted in the 17th century and is in one of the museums in Madrid. The original version was painted by Caravaggio. It is known that David and Goliath represent the fight between the Israelites and the Philistines in the Bible. David and Goliath is a symbol of inequality in many things. David is strong and cruel, while Goliath is weak and weak, but he fights for justice and therefore wins.

The following two sculptures represent two personalities from the past of my country, namely Vuk Karadzic, the creator of the alphabet and letters that are still used in our country, and Marko Kraljevic, the hero of the Kosovo cycle, and the entire poetry of that era.

Passing through the corridors of the museum looks like this

And in the end, I left two pictures, about which I thought for a long time. The first is a picture of one of the authors from my country, which represents simplicity and seeing things in his own way. The second is a painting by Salvador Dali that always leaves one speechless. It lets you wander subtly through the picture and forget about everything.

See you, enjoy

thank you for letting us take a tour of this beautiful museum. I did not know the work of Salvador Dalì that you showed, Dalì was certainly one of the best painters that have ever existed
