WHEEL LOADER CONDUCTOR OF DEATH

Today I'm only showing you one light painting in this post. I don't have another picture that would fit in any way. This picture was taken last weekend during our visit to the abandoned airfield. In a hall we discovered this wheel loader. On our last visit, it was still standing in another place on the large site. The thing really doesn't look like it can move under its own power. But somehow the wheel bearing must have got there. The whole thing is very mysterious. Probably the wheel loader just floats over the site during the witching hour.

Heute zeige ich euch nur ein Light Painting in diesem Beitrag. Ich habe kein weiteres Bild was in irgendeiner Weise dazu passen würde. Entstanden ist dieses Bild am letzten Wochenende während unseres Besuchs auf dem verlassenen Flugplatz. In einer Halle entedekten wir diesen Radlader. Beim letzten Besuch stand der noch an einer anderen Stelle auf dem großen Gelände. Das Ding sieht wahrlich nicht so aus, als würde es sich aus eigener Kraft bewegen können. Aber irgendwie muss der Radlager dort hin gekommen sein. Sehr mysteriös das Ganze. Wahrscheinlich schwebt der Radlader während der Geisterstunde einfach über das Gelände.

After Dominic had taken a seat in the driver's seat, he placed a torch with a larger diffuser in the cab. This torch stayed on all the time. Then I triggered the camera and illuminated the wheel loader. In the last step, I briefly lit the four headlights. What you see here is the third attempt. Because Dominic could sit quite comfortably and relaxed, I did the three attempts one after the other.

Nachdem Dominic auf dem Fahrersitz Platz genommen hatte legte er eine Taschenlampe mit einem größeren Diffusor in den Führerstand. Diese Taschenlampe blieb die ganze Zeit eingeschaltet. Dann löste ich die Kamera aus und beleuchtete den Radlader. Im letzten Schritt leuchtete ich die vier Scheinwerfer kurz an. Was ihr hier seht ist der dritte Versuch. Weil Dominic recht bequem und entspannt sitzen konnte habe ich die drei Versuche direkt hintereinander gemacht.

On the outing to the airfield, @gunnarheilmann, Hans, Dominic, Swen and Jennifer were my companions. I'm looking forward to our next adventure.

Beim Auslflug auf den Flugplatz waren @gunnarheilmann, Hans, Dominic, Swen und Jennifer meine Begleiter. Ich freu mich schon auf unser nächstes Abenteuer.

WHAT IS LIGHT PAINTING?

Light painting is a unique form of art. The darkness is illuminate by the artist with diverse light sources and light traces are paint into the picture with various light tools. Various techniques are use, such as camera rotation or other movements of the camera during the exposure. The creative possibilities are almost unlimited. All the pictures were taken during one single exposure. Apart from denoising, sharpening, cutting and possibly adjusting the white balance, the pictures are not processed on the computer.
