It might take me a while to get used to this header format, but at least for a while I will run a very old, gritty one from 93!
All these years this one has been a "standalone" image, it might fit in with a series, or I could have turned it into one by hunting matching ones.
On the other hand it works well this way!
Wanna guess what elements are part of it? Comment before you read the next lines then π
Its quite simple, this is gravel and ice mixed on top of asphalt, first thawing up a bit before freezing again. Then the sun provided that glazed shine.
The technical part
It is done using my Leica M-2, hand held meter, Neopan 400 developed with 1-1 D76.
Acually I am pretty sure that I would not have gotten the exposure right at all without the handheld meter, the camera would have indicated several stops off. If it had one, an M-2 is of course super simple, focus, aperture and shutter only π
This is a scan from a print. To reproduce the grittiness on a screen is actually not easy, which perhaps is the reason why I have never published it online yet.
Some things definitely look way better as a proper, analog print from a darkroom! π
Mentioning that I might get around to converting prints from an ordinary printer into real prints with silver & chemicals, we will see if travelling and getting everything else started will make room for that a bit later on.
That is it for now!
