Eigentlich war es ja der Zufall, der uns auf die Insel Korsika geführt hat. Und wir waren auch noch nie auf Korsika in den Ferien. Aber um der Touristenflut im Sommer 2022 am französischen Mittelmeer zu entfliehen,
haben meine Freundin und ich mit unserem Campster (Citroen Spacetourer vs Pössl) spontan eine günstige Fähre gefunden und die Segel in Richtung der (französischen) Insel gesetzt. Und seit unserer Ankunft, sprich seit unseren ersten Metern auf der kleinen Insel waren wir von ihr begeistert.
Actually, it was chance that brought us to the island of Corsica. And we have never been to Corsica on holiday before. But to escape the flood of tourists in the summer of 2022 on the French Mediterranean,
my girlfriend and I spontaneously found a cheap ferry with our Campster (Citroen Spacetourer vs Pössl) and set sail for the (French) island. And since our arrival, that is, since our first metres on the small island, we were thrilled by it.
En realidad, fue la casualidad la que nos llevó a la isla de Córcega. Y nunca habíamos estado de vacaciones en Córcega. Pero para escapar de la avalancha de turistas en el verano de 2022 en el Mediterráneo francés,
mi novia y yo encontramos espontáneamente un ferry barato con nuestro Campster (Citroen Spacetourer vs Pössl) y zarpamos hacia la isla (francesa). Y desde nuestra llegada, es decir, desde nuestros primeros metros en la pequeña isla, quedamos encantados.
Mit unserem Campster haben wir rund einen Monat lang (geplant waren zwei Wochen) die "Belle Ille", wie von den Franzosen genannt, umrundet und auch das Inselinnere erkundet. Und dabei durften wir ein wirklich besonderes Paradies entdecken, welches uns alles bot, was wir uns auf unsere Reise erhofft haben. Wir entdeckten auf der einen Seite karibisch anmutende Strände mit weißem Sand und türkis blauem Wasser und auf der anderen, felsige Steilhänge und Klippen die zum Schnorcheln in glasklarem Wasser einluden. Im Landesinneren erheben sich schroffe Gebirgszüge und Hochebenen, woher man das Mittelmeer bei guter Sicht in der Ferne auf zwei Seiten erblicken kann. Hatten wir genug vom Salzwasser oder mussten wir uns von einer Wanderung erholen und erfrischen, genehmigten wir uns ein Bad in einem der zahlreichen Flüsse mit kristallklarem Wasser. Kurz kann man auf Korsika zum Frühstück schnorchelnd bunte Fische bestaunen, auf einem Gipfel ein Picknick-Lunch mit atemberaubendem Panorama geniessen,und nach dem Abendessen einen purpurroten Sonnenuntergang an einem kleinen geheimen Strand genießen.
With our Campster, we spent about a month (we had planned two weeks) driving around the "Belle Ille", as the French call it, and also explored the interior of the island. And in doing so, we were able to discover a really special paradise, which offered us everything we had hoped for on our trip. On the one hand, we discovered Caribbean-like beaches with white sand and turquoise blue water, and on the other, rocky cliffs that invited us to snorkel in crystal-clear water. In the interior, rugged mountain ranges and plateaus rise up, from where you can see the Mediterranean Sea in the distance on two sides if visibility is good. If we had enough of the salt water or needed to recover and refresh ourselves from a hike, we allowed ourselves a bath in one of the numerous rivers with crystal-clear water. Briefly, in Corsica, you can snorkel and admire colourful fish for breakfast, enjoy a picnic lunch on a peak with a breathtaking panorama, and after dinner enjoy a crimson sunset on a small secret beach.
Con nuestro Campster, pasamos cerca de un mes (habíamos planeado dos semanas) conduciendo por la "Belle Ille", como la llaman los franceses, y también exploramos el interior de la isla. Y al hacerlo, pudimos descubrir un paraíso realmente especial, que nos ofreció todo lo que esperábamos de nuestro viaje. Por un lado, descubrimos playas caribeñas de arena blanca y aguas azul turquesa, y por otro, acantilados rocosos que nos invitaban a practicar snorkel en aguas cristalinas. En el interior, se alzan escarpadas cordilleras y mesetas, desde las que se divisa a lo lejos el mar Mediterráneo por dos de sus lados si la visibilidad es buena. Si estábamos hartos del agua salada o necesitábamos recuperarnos y refrescarnos de una caminata, nos permitíamos un baño en uno de los numerosos ríos de aguas cristalinas. En resumen, en Córcega se puede hacer snorkel y admirar peces de colores durante el desayuno, disfrutar de un almuerzo campestre en una cima con un panorama impresionante y, después de cenar, disfrutar de una puesta de sol carmesí en una pequeña playa secreta.
Ich denke, wir haben uns beide in die kleinen Mittelmeerinsel verliebt, und werden sie sicher bald ein weiteres Mal besuchen. Und mehr Text gibt es in einem weiteren Post, da ihr nicht nur meine Buchstaben, sonder auch meine Bilder genießen sollt.
I think we both fell in love with the small Mediterranean island and will surely visit it again soon. And more text in another post, because I want you to enjoy not only my letters but also my pictures.
