This past saturday 10 of August, I went to folkloric performance, in the city called Quillacollo, it was a beautiful moment.
At first I didnt even knew there was one to be honest, since I dont watch the news on TV, I went like I usually go every Saturday because its my own tradition since moths ago. But I noticed there was a lot of people there and people were building a huge setup with a big stage and everything.
I was curious but I didnt know what to expect, but I was glady surprised by the whole event.

The first group was a school names Virgen de Urkupiña, they were dancing The Pujllay dance, a Bolivian ritual dance of the Yampara culture originating in the Tarabuco region. I really like their music, its almost like metal very strong and powerful. Almost like a a war chants or something.

There were also kids playing musical instruments, and they were really good, to see these masters at their craft at a such a young age, was really amazing.

The teachers from this school were also dancing very gracefully, their enthusiasm was contagious, some of them used smoke with different colors.

The music is particular, it has its origins in the Spanish Colonization, the particular sound of trumpets are really present in every song. Its a very happy sounding music, the melodies are catchy too. It gives a festivity mood to the whole event.

Other MARIAN ADVOCATIONS
After the dance of Pujllay the different Marian advocations showed up, with the whole crew of each Virgin, I captured some of them in this video:

Finally the the Virgin Mary with the advocation of Virgen de Urkupiña entered and people were really excited, because this is the beggining of the whole festivity.

Wow, the culture (puljilay dance) i watched the video and it was fun, so it is true every country has their own dance and culture. My country also does this too. But i have never been to one before.

This is my very first time going to this event, you should go sometime if you have the opportunity. It really is a beautiful experience. It totally worth it.
