RE: People on Stork Legs

Hi Erikah, in Cuba they are known as stilts and when I was a child I remember we used to have competitions at school. Almost all of us knew how to ride on them, of course they were not so high, but it was still a lot of fun. Also in the streets of the Historical Center of Havana there was for more than 20 years a street theater group that had a beautiful show on stilts, it was called "Giganterías". They went out twice a day to walk the streets, every day of the week. It was a moment that everyone enjoyed and people would join the group and walk along with them to the beat of the music and chants. Looking for information I found that it has not been done for more than 1 year, sad, because it was something that people expected and spread joy and color. Thank you for bringing this publication that has made me remember beautiful times.

This was in 2015, not the best photo, but it was the one I first found in my archives 😊🤗.

Hello @mdrguez!

I'm kind of envious to know you knew how to walk using those legs. Not many know.

Sad to know old trading is not continued anymore, but when it comes to your country, nothing surprises me anymore, unfortunately.

Thanks for the nice photo. 🤗
