Hoverfly on a white flower macro

Hoverflies are very tiny insects, they often look like a mini bee or a min wasp but are about the size of an ant. They can almoost look like they are made out of plastic with giant eyes. They are called hoverflies because of their ability to hover in one place.

The flowers this one was handing around were also quite small, which is what I love about macro lenses. You can make these little creatures appear to be much larger and catch details the naked eye would struggle to see.

This particular one didn't mind me so much as it hovered around the flowers, landing and letting me take shots from a variety of angles.
