I'm sure that just like me, you also like to travel and take lots of pictures, not getting out of the daily routine at home and work is overwhelming, so we need these moments of freedom to relax and enjoy life, in my case I love traveling on the roads, driving without a set course is challenging because you do not know what you will find on the road, and so are my road photographs, I have nothing planned, we are just my car, my camera and me, and well some of my nieces who always come with me, they also love to go out for a ride.
I took these pictures about a month ago but for different reasons I had not edited them and today I woke up thinking about going out again to the road to see if I could find a good place to take today's picture, but to be honest I just woke up thinking about it, and although my mind wanted it, my body did not, I feel tired and exhausted, the weather has been too exhausting, too hot, zero rain and we have a temperature of about 95 °F, so I better start to review my catalog and decided to finish editing these pictures.
This is how many of the roads in Mexico look like, at least in the area where I live, these pictures were taken in the state of Jalisco when I was going to a place called Ameca, a very nice place and difficult to reach, the road is dangerous because it is small and with many curves, and Ameca is located at the top of the mountain, so it is necessary to go all the way up and here there is nowhere to park, since you start driving up the mountain you don't stop until you reach the top, a journey of at least 40 minutes.
Something that will always make me ashamed of my country, is to see that people don't have a culture about garbage, it's easy for them to throw bags, cans, bottles, everything outside, they just put their hand out and the garbage stays there contaminating the landscape not only visually, because we already know the damage that garbage does over time, There are times when I do have the time to clean the scene before taking pictures, but not all the time I can do it, sometimes I just stop at the side of the road and take the picture to continue on my way, but every time I have the opportunity I try to return a little to nature by cleaning the area.
Now the following photograph is interesting to me, we currently live in a violent and selfish time, and although it is something that has always happened in my country, we currently do not see a strategy to combat this problem, that is why I find interesting the combination of the police patrol with the cross on the side of the road, that's a sign that at some point someone died there, I don't know if it was by accident or because it was the place where they decided to dump the body, and I say it like that because it really happens like that in some areas, anyway I had talked to @ritch about these pictures, so if you want to use any of them for the writing contest go ahead, you can use them.
