Soups, pikeperch, kangaroo, zebra… oh, but… I don’t know, me… cigar sauce? (I’ll pass on that... 🤣 I steer clear of cigars and all that smoke). Everything’s so exotic! Mojito! It’s the only thing I’ve actually tasted… A toast to you and to the birthday person. I’m speechless—everything looks absolutely delicious…
Sometimes I'm wondering if you're mocking me or just trying to be funny. I hope it's the latter.
Thanks for the toast. Everything was really delicious and the place is absolutely amazing.
Good morning, Erikah. 😞 Why do you feel that way? First of all, I don't go around mocking people. It's just that we don't eat those things around here and it shocked me. I laughed about the cigarette because I imagined lots of cigarettes and I actually quit smoking a long time ago... But anyway... I apologise if my comments come across that way.
I thought you knew that I held you in high esteem.
Written text most of the time doesn't come across as speech, so I may be wrong, but I'm glad to be wrong in this case. Thank you for clarifying this.
I understand these dishes are not familiar to you or common in your country. These are not common here either as we don't have zebras and kangaroos running around free. These are considered delicatesse in my country and cost 3 - 4 times a normal dish, we don't eat it every day, but we only live once, so I thought why not taste it.
That's what I thought. And I didn't tell you, but I also thought they must be expensive.
Yes, you're right about the written language. I'll keep that in mind for the future and learn from this. Thank you. But keep in mind that I just celebrated my third anniversary here, and we've been communicating in a very friendly manner since I arrived... So I don't think you should entertain that idea.
I hope you have a lovely day. I have to run some errands and have a long walk ahead of me. 🤗
I was hoping this is the case, but I wanted to be sure. I'm glad we clarified it. Thank you!
Have a lovely day! 🤗
