Georgia has been recognized as one of the oldest wine regions worldwide, the history of wine production goes back to approximately 6000BC, which gives us 8000 years of experience in wine-making.

The culture of wine is practically inseparable from the national identity in our country. Most families make their own wine by themselves and nowadays we have tons of small wine cellars, which produce huge assortment of local wines.

As I mentioned earlier, I am going to discuss specific wines from our country and if you find this information useful, let me know and I will continue writing these type of articles.

We are always getting lots of visitors in our country, who are interested in dry white-wines with little bit acidic taste.

I will gladly guide you to the species, which you should try first, to get into Georgian wines.

For today's review I chose the wine made from grapes named Tsolikauri.

Typically the wine made from Tsolikauri is light, refreshing and very summery.

Here I have 3 different choices from widely available local craft wine cellars.

First one is Tsolikauri produced by Peradze, it is from the region Obcha, Imereti. This wine comes with the 12.2% ABV, the color is dark amber, in the aroma you will find lots of field flowers, the body is clean, full of flavour and technology used while making this wine is Qvevri. Qvevri is the type of technology which is only found in Georgia and in later articles I will discuss what this type of technology means.

These are three wines, which I would strongly recommend for hot summer days, served cold, with cheese or fish.
