I've been spending a little time playing with some presets and overlays in Photoshop and Lightroom (Mobile) and have a random selection of shots to show.
There is no rhyme or reason to these shots, its more a case of practice and playing to create an interesting shot.
The original RAW shots come from a Youtuber called OpticalWander that I have been following, and then I have edited these shoots with overlays of stars, bokeh, sun rays and refracted light. Once these had been modified in Photoshop I then added presets in Lightroom Mobile. One thing I will say too is that less is more. I've seen images in a past camera club that were so over done, it wasnt recognisable as a photo anymore. Thats why when I add a preset or overlay etc I take the opacity down to 0% and then gradually increase it until it looks right without being overpowering and fake.
As a photographer I try to mix what I do in my shots, I've done still life, some macro work, lightpainting and I enjoy a good model shoot. If you'd like to check out any of my other work I'm on Facebook, or you can find me on Instagram under neilru75

Wow. these are gems. Great shots and edits. You have some talents over there. Been thinking of how to get great shots but no lack. I don't know whether its because of my surroundings or I just suck at it
