Windy Knoll

So the nights are drawing in and becoming darker earlier meaning lightpainting and shooting stars.

Last night @fastchrisuk and myself headed out with the intention of shooting stars, but with a plan to shoot some lightpainting above Winnats Pass in the Peak District. We noticed while there amongst the signs advising of falling rocks, and imminent death that the cave was actually called Windy Knoll.

Below is a double exposure shot taken in the cave, and outside the cave. This is the kind of shot I had in mind for the evening..

We also stood at the mouth of the cave too to shoot an almost silhouette against the slowly darkening sky..

Below are a couple of straight shots. In the back of the cave we setup a Good light with gel and 2 RGB LED panels and lasers. I like the first shot out of these as I feel like I'm in the bowels of Hell..

Credit to Chris too for shooting and manoeuvring the camera while I swapped gels and lit smoke.

As a photographer I try to mix what I do in my shots, I've done still life, some macro work, lightpainting and I enjoy a good model shoot. If you'd like to check out any of my other work I'm on Facebook, or you can find me on Instagram under neilru75

Thanks very much for looking

Kind Regards, Neil
