Hello friends😊
I hope you all are doing great. I am also doing well and feeling happy to share something very special with you today. Yesterday was my first Karva Chauth, and truly, it turned out to be one of the most memorable days of my life.Celebrating Karva Chauth in the cool breeze and peaceful surroundings of Uttarakhand has its own charm.

From early morning, there was excitement all around the house. Some women were applying henna, some were getting their clothes ready, and I too was busy preparing for my first fast with lots of enthusiasm and nervousness.

I dressed up in a traditional red saree, gold jewelry, and a small red bindi on my forehead — a look every married woman dreams of on this day. When I saw myself in the mirror, my heart filled with joy and emotion. It felt like I was becoming part of something truly sacred.

Karva Chauth is known for its nirjala vrat — a waterless fast observed for the long life and good health of one’s husband. From sunrise to moonrise, we neither eat nor drink water. Honestly, at first it seemed almost impossible. But as the day went by, I realized that when your heart is full of love and faith, hunger and thirst slowly fade into the background.

Throughout the day, as the sun shone brightly over the mountains, one thought kept crossing my mind — how precious water really is. You can survive without food for a while, but staying the whole day without a drop of water teaches you just how vital it is.When evening approached and the silver moon started peeking out from behind the hills, every woman’s eyes were fixed on the sky. The moment we saw the moon, the entire atmosphere filled with devotion and peace.

Holding the decorated thali with a diya, sieve, and sweets, I looked at the moon first, then at my husband through the sieve, and offered my heartfelt prayers for his long life and happiness. That single moment was filled with so much love and gratitude that all my tiredness disappeared instantly. Drinking water for the first time after a whole day felt divine — like life was flowing back into me.

This festival not only deepened my love for my husband but also reminded me of the power of patience and devotion.Celebrating my first Karva Chauth in the serene beauty of Uttarakhand was an unforgettable experience. It’s not just a day of fasting; it’s a celebration of faith, dedication, and the sacred bond between husband and wife.
Wishing all the beautiful ladies a very Happy Karva Chauth! May your lives be filled with health, happiness, and endless love.
