Welcome to the next episode of photo-series dedicated to hiking adventures. This time I present you second day (first one is available in previous post here) of one of my most favorite treks of the last season which I took in Jeseníky mountains (Czechia) back in warm summer. Enjoy😉
Good morning from a rock which is located on Vozka mountain (1377m). Yeah, I slept outside. It is quarter past 4 AM. The sun is about to rise in a bit😇

There it is!

That highest peak in this shot is called Keprník (1423m).
The sun is getting stronger every minute. Praděd needle visible.

Time to hit the road as this place will be shortly full of other hikers. The Vozka rock from the ground with Praděd in the middle.
Nearly 6 AM, descending now. The grass is heavily covered by dew.
What a couple!
On the mountain called Spálený vrch (1313m), loosely translated as Burnt hill. You barely meet a living person in here. Cool place to rest after the last night when I did not get a good sleep.
At last, found some trees. Hammock hung above the blueberry bush!

A consequence of the wet grass - totaly drenched socks and boots. I am lucky as there is this neat clothes tree.
7 AM, time to move on.
This is an interesting stone - U Čulibrka, hard to translate though.
Soil erosion and a sort of rare photo of me.
Going by a creek Poniklý, formed by modest but nice waterfals and cascades.
A spring with cold water. Time to refill water supplies.
A memorable tree along the Poniklý creek. This 37m tall spruce is one of the oldest (160-210 years old) and hugest of the Jeseníky mountains.
More cascades and waterfalls of the same creek.
9 AM. For today enough waterfalls.
In the meadow beneath the rock formation named as Three stones. As usual, Praděd in the middle of the picture.

A sun halo.
Chilling out in the pastures at midday.
Now it is getting interesting as need to cross the herd ahead. There are countless pale cows and the only one dark bull. Not sure if it is safe to cross their land ...
I won't keep you in suspense and tell you that: the moment I get behind the fence, the cows spot me and start pursueding me. The only way out is to sprint and get behind the distant fence. I do not think the cows just wanted to be petted.
At nearly 2 PM I finally arrive at my destination - a little village Velké Losiny. It has been hot all day long. When I get to the village, it starts heavily raining with a thunderstorm. I am happy as by that time I am already in a safe and dry place, sipping a local beer brewed by Zlosin brewery.
Here is approximate itinerary: 30km, 38k steps, ↑371m, ↓1348m.

No trvalo to, ale čekání se vyplatilo :) Tohle je velká paráda. Přestože Praděd (jak víme ze zpráv, že :D) praská ve švech, tady nikde ani živáčka a viditelnost na jedničku s hvězdičkou. Ty vodopády solidní long exposure efekt, palec hore tvému founu. A vlastně i celému postu. Zaslouží nadstandardní nášup Tipáků ;)

Pravda, kolem Pradědu létají letadla, balony, všeci tam furt šplhají, raději preferuji někde klidem a pozorovat ten šrumec z dáli 🙂
