A few years ago, my wife accepted an offer to take over and run a small business hotel near Bijeljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The contract was for one year, with the task to start a business and train the employees. Since we weren't thinking about moving, I went to visit her on the weekends. We often spent time in the Ethno village Stanišići, which is a kind of endeavor of a Stanišić family to make something authentic for this area. I say endeavor because recently, this village suffered two major floods and thus ruined the dreams of its creators. But still, they did not give up.
My friend often jokes and calls this village Bosnian Disneyland, which is a bit funny considering his personality and a strange sense of humor.

I have been here and it is such a beautiful place! It is awesome for photography as well.
And great food of course.
In general I agree, but from an aesthetic point of view, some elements might be a bit kitschy. No doubt, it exudes a pleasant atmosphere and it is a nice place to stay. The food is really good.
