This is an older photoshoot (from 2019). A really beautiful model. I'm glad I had the chance to work with her.

Do you use a coloured gel to light your backdrop, or do you change the rolls each shoot?
It depends on the shoot. But here I used a black paper background and a red color gel on the flash head that was shooting into it
Cool, I have limited space in my garage studio, and don't want to stock like 50 backdrops, so good to know that you can get incredible results with just gels on the backdrop. :)
Thanks for your answer! I have white, black, and a reversible textured pop-out backdrop that tries to mimic the hand painted textures that you get on canvas. With a bit of gel, I will have any colour I want! :)
Yeah, for a backdrop I mostly use a white, a black and a gray patterned one that I bought on Temu :P
I also have a red one, but I seldom use it. For other colors, I use gels or I use the LED lights if I switch from strobes to constant lighting
