Photographing a pole & aerial dance event

in Photography Lovers5 months ago (edited)

This was a little bit of a challenge, because I was also recording the event with the primary camera (thankfully, everything is centered on a stage and once I set the camera to record, I don't have to monitor it) and I needed to make good images with my reserve camera (Canon 80D). I do have a decent lens for this (Sigma 50-100mm f1.8), but the lighting is not too strong and it's pretty uneven. Also, because performers are always moving, I had to shoot with 1/500 shutter speed and ISO 2500 to avoid motion blur. Lightroom AI denoise helped again.

Anyway, here are some pictures I captured

Lovely photos, I liked them all, especially the ones of the illuminated pole, as the light so close creates spectacular effects.
