Mimosa pudica or in my country we know it as 'putri malu' plant. Putri : princess, malu : shy, is one of the plants that attracts attention because of its unique behavior. When touched, its leaves will immediately close or “shy”. This reaction is a form of self-defense from this plant. When I was a kid, when I met this plant, I would stop for a while and happily touch its leaves which would immediately close. The beautiful purple-pink flowers are very eye-catching.
This plant is easily found by the roadside, amongst the shrubs. Sometimes it is also used as an herbal plant for traditional medicine because it contains chemical compounds that can be useful as anti-inflammatory.
Plants that live in the midst of wild bushes do not mask their beauty and always attract attention when they are found.

They're the beauties who live by the roadside. They can't live in Europe cause they grow in wet tropical lands 😀
