A great occurrence.

They landed on the verandah of a shopping center opposite my table.

The wife stashes me here with a Cafe Latte while she does the shopping inside the center.

The verandah is outside at the front of a restaurant on the first floor of a shopping center, and there are great views of the sea and the beachfront from this vantage point. I love it when these unexpected happenings take place, and I always have my camera ready. I took a few shots of the little Cape Sparrows, and I shared the time of my wait by reading one of the local newspapers.

Nature played a trick on me, as a strong wind was blowing and a gust swept across the verandah at a terrific speed. It smashed my newspaper into the glass cup of the latte, upending the cup and washing the table, and my newspaper, with coffee, that dripped languorously down onto the floor and my shoes. The management saw what happened and he rushed out with some cloths, a mop, and the promise of a free latte replacement. Sadly, my newspaper was history, but my camera was safe:)

Here below is an example of one of the views, with bright sunlight on the ocean.

The dad came in with some food for the little one.

And here the mom arrived to land on the glass framed balustrade railing.

Oh yes, there were two babies, and both parents did the feeding.

Finally, time for one of the little ones to do some relaxed preening.

My wife and I do everything together and we have become like one for 24/7 night and day. I should have said almost together, as I don't do any shopping with her. This has lasted for 23 years now, and we have had some great adventures in nature and elsewhere. Not that it will stop, as we are looking forward to many more in the future.

Like I said, above in the introduction, my coffee was spilled by a gust of wind and things were on a sticky side, especially my shoes, and my wet coffee socks started to cling dementedly on to my feet:) Not a nice feeling, but thankfully we were heading home as soon as my wife arrived back from her shopping adventure. She normally says that she needs milk and bread, and then she comes out with half of the shops in bags:)
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

These small creature are always a delight to watch and click... hope you get over rhe stickiness and feeling better.

I agree with you, as the small critters have their own cute ways of doing things. Sadly, not much that I can do about the health matters, as I have critical iron levels in my body, and some other chronic issues. Thankfully I have lived a long life, and so, the issues don't worry me too much. It is just a hassle to cope with.
