An early message.

No, not a gambling message, instead it was another hidden message.

I don't gamble ever, and so this message was totally useless to me.

We live close to the Atlantic Ocean, and the plane was flying over along the beachfront. The latest news is that a casino will soon be built in our area, and although we don't think that it is a good idea, big money always talks. So, yes, the casino is on and we can do nothing about it. Some groups have fought against it for years, but finally the government's permission was granted.

So, when I saw this plane coming over, I thought just to take a few shots of it and to post it.

At sunset another incident took place that reminded me about the message that I saw in the morning.

Scrambled sunset clouds appeared above the beachfront, and something caught my eye.

It was another plane coming in to land at our international airport, the planes have to turn above the ocean in order to line up for the landing on the airstrips.

And the turn started but then it was too dark for me to get the rest of it.

So, a plane in the morning and a plane in the evening, totally unexpected, but I thought that it must mean something. We heard that there are many more cars now on our roads, so that might double with people taking transport from the airport to the hotel at the casino.

Things have already become crowded here, and this was one of the reasons why we moved away from a big city 8 years ago. Noise, drunkenness, fights, parties, and all other kinds of daily disturbances chased us out of a big city after spending 17 years there. Our latest visit to a small town, far away, showed us what we are missing, and I think that these two planes were telling us that it is time to fly away. With Papillon we can work anywhere, as there are great needs everywhere, and we will simply continue with our work.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

I don't blame you for moving out of the big city, they are always messy. Not to mention the constant noise...

Shame they are putting in the casino, but big money always talks. The new owners will make a fortune off other people's greed, just the way it works. We know you won't be frequenting it anyway! lol

Great shots of the plane with the banner, and even better ones of the jet on approach to the airport. The clouds contrast the jet so nicely in those! Great sunset too.

I hope you two are doing well, and are back in the small town once again!
