...as I had a very unpleasant experience on this day.
Far away from nature, I was quartered in a special hospital room for two medical processes.
First, I had a to undergo a CT scan. (Computed Tomography) and basically the scan creates detailed cross-sectional images of the body. Things like blood clots, internal bleeding, tumours, infections, and injuries are searched for. They push one on a trolley bed into a big half round machine that covers the body and then a dye is pumped into the body from an arm artery. A warm glow enveloped the body after some minutes, and then the fun started as the technical sister told me that they will do a roll-over of my body to get the images. What that means is that the first images were taken with me lying on my back, then I had to lay on my right-hand side, then onto my stomach, and finally, on my left-hand side. Images were taken during each movement.
Then I had to go to another room where X-ray images were taken of my body.
So yeah, not a great experience, especially as I had to do a nil per mouth for six hours and had to drink one liter of water two hours prior to the procedure. The appointment was set for noon, and before that I took the photos that you will see in here.
Four photos that I took on our way to the hospital, and four photos on our way home.
And then on our way back home I took the photos below.
I saw that cloud moving at speed across the mountain at the back.
Now why do you think I was watching that cloud?
That cloud was on its way to swallow the signal tower mountain.
Finally, the cloud descended on the signal mountain.
My wife was waiting for me in the reception area of the hospital, and I was too befuddled when I emerged to hear what she was saying to me. Apparently, some aquarium organisation arrived with boxes of turtles just before I arrived. I didn't see them, but they had one very big one lying on a steel table and covered with blankets. I looked at the big guy and asked one of the staff members how old the turtle is. She said that it's between 20 and 25 years old and still a youngster.
So, I asked her what they are doing with the turtles there and she said that they will be doing some scans on the turtles. Imagine that? Who would have thought that after my procedure, a bunch of turtles will go inside to be pushed into that machine. I just hope they don't put dye into the turtles' arteries. Strange things happen to lift one's soul up in a day, and I felt very happy to see how they care for those turtles.

Humour the only salvation today, pity too many have lost the ability to see funny during times like this. Take care and do what the doctor orders, I avoid them like the plague for now.
Life is very serious these days, and that's why I try to raise some smiles. My other half makes sure that I follow the instructions to the letter, and there is no way out :) Great and yeah, never a pleasure, I don't blame you for avoiding them.

We have to endure the uncomfortable parts in order to arrive at the truth, and yes, it was heartwarming to see how they look after the turtles. It also made us happy.
