We are now into the summer season, and magical views are starting to appear.
Of course, the winds don't care about the seasons, as they just continue to play with the clouds. I also have a few landscapes to show you.
This is what I love, as the views are constantly changed by the winds, I say winds because there are winds meeting here that come in from different directions. We live in an ocean bay, surrounded by high mountains inland and a wide open face to the cold winds of the Atlantic Ocean. When the wind comes in from the sea on a blistering hot day, it makes the heat bearable. But then again, when the wind comes in from inland behind the mountains, the ambience feels like a hot sauna.
My thought was to include the distant mountain peaks in the shots.
Some of the clouds got tired from dancing in the winds, and they descended to rest on the top of the mountains.
This below was where I was standing to take the shots, and the distance to the mountains is about 6 kilometers.
Then the clouds started to gather.
In order to combine in a huge cloud shape. They even pulled up the lazy lot of clouds that rested on the mountain tops:)
And finally, the cloud slowly started to drift away.
I saw a lesson in this, as when the clouds were scattered, they were blown all over the place, but when they united into one big cloud, they became difficult for the winds to scatter them.
Long ago, our country logo was "Eendragt maakt Mag" ("Unity makes Strength") and the idea was to unite the nation. Very similar to the "United we stand, divided we fall" slogan. But that is history, and nowadays we are just as scattered as the clouds in the post.
The world is in a dire state, and a bit of relief is to see how united the people from different backgrounds are at the current Hive Fest in Kuala Lumpur. Maybe we could host a hive fest in South Africa one day, as currently things are not going so well here. There is a lot to say about this, but I will only say that Hive could become a great crutch for our country that has the highest unemployment stats in the world.
Such is life.

South Africa is being tossed around like clouds in the wind, little to no direction at the moment.
If only like the clouds that cling together taking one direction would be a boon to all.

but it was also the motto of the Dutch Republic (1581-1795)
