Ancient golden hours

Given the storms passing by my country, the golden hour where I live has lost some of its charm in these last weeks; so this is a great time to remember some of the snapshots from my last vacations, where rain was absent and temperatures were way warmer, although it was wintertime there as well.

Truth be told, admiring a sunset with ancient wonders of the world in the backdrop is likely to never disappoint, no matter how bad the conditions are. During the brief time I spent near Giza's pyramids, I can't complain for sure.

Having clouds in the sky only adds to the contrast, so it was even better! I wasn't in the pyramids complex during this time, but fortunately for me, the hotel where I was staying had a great viewpoint facing the pyramids, on the roof. The desert sky filled with orange was already a great view in itself...

... but the pyramids were a perfect match for the photos.

A few hundred kilometers south, there were some more opportunities to enjoy beautiful colours, this time with one of the biggest rivers in the world as the scenery. There was no shortage of temples near Nile's margins, and the golden hour was bliss in all of the temples I visited near that time.

But even just contemplating the margins, the show was good enough. Although most of the country is desertic, there is lush vegetation near the river.

And even though I tend to favour nature-only scenarios in my photos if I choose, some civilization along the margins also proved to be a good photo choice.

I was also fortunate enough to enjoy some beach time while I visited the country. Funny thing is, of all the sunsets I was able to properly enjoy here, the beach one was definitely not the top one, contrary to what happens most of the time, where beach sunsets steal the show!

As for you... which one is the winner? World wonders, river... or beach? :)

The contrast created by the setting sun, casting shadows and illuminating the sky, is a spectacle that only nature can offer. Best regards, @pardinus
