Pretty Little Things 📸

In my previous posts I shared some photos of the Farsha café that I visited recently. As the place is packed with small ornaments that create a wonderful oriental decor, I didn’t want to cram all the photos into one post so here’s another one that showcases the highlights.

I hope you’ll like it.

Can you read the text? I’ve been learning Arabic with Duolingo app throughout the whole year. It’s a great app for language learning, free, easy to use, it offers exercises that are a combination of reading, writing, listening and speaking. It has many motivational elements built in, like fun challenges, score boosts, etc. Living in the Arab world for some years helped me to learn as well, of course, but every country has its own dialect and that can be a bit confusing. Supposedly, I learned 1230 new words with the app so far. I used it for practicing Spanish and Italian too, and it has many more languages.

Learning languages is great for many reasons: it enhances brain connectivity, improves memory, boosts creativity and improves attitude toward the selected language and culture. And I think tolerance is something we need more of.

What I particularly like about this place is that many elements of the decoration are actually old items that found their new home here instead of landing in the scrapyard.

The vase with dried grass hung on the wooden pillar to the right was my favourite. What about yours?
