Street Photography: random street shots from Krakow

in Photography Lovers3 years ago (edited)

Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!

Krakow, a beautiful Polish city with a very long and rich history, has been our nomadic base for one year already and my Krakow photo album contains almost a thousand of shots taken in this city.

You have already seen a decent portion of them as I have published dozens of posts about Krakow, featuring some of its most impressive churches, monasteries and other famous architectural landmarks as well as interesting natural places such as parks, forests, rivers, lakes and even a picturesque flooded limestone quarry.

I have showed you the unique winter charm and atmosphere of the city when decorated with the Christmas lights and I have taken you on a tour around the city´s most interesting street art pieces. My posts showed you what the locals eat and drink and how they support their favorite football teams.

Over the course of months, I have showed you Krakow from many different angles and perspectives but yet, there are still some cool photos taken in this city that I haven´t used in any of my previous posts (at least I think so, sorry if I did) but I believe they deserve to be seen. That´s why I decided to come up with this collection of 20 random street photos taken in Krakow. Enjoy :)

I hope you liked the pictures. Most of them were taken in the historic center of the city but some other locations can be seen there too. In fact, I still have quite a lot of unpublished photos from the city and there are several interesting post drafts that I keep in my mind. I hope I will be able to start working on them soon as they have already been long overdue. You can expect posts from places such as the Krakow museums, the Oskar Schindler Factory and even a former concentration camp the relics of which can still be found in the city.

I would like to visit Warsaw and Krakow one day.

Well they say Krakow is the most beautiful city in Poland but I would still like to visit Warsaw too to see if that claim is true :) But I believe it is. Wroclaw is also said to be a very charming city, I am going to find out this weekend... Anyway, thanks for checking out the photos!

If this damn pandemic ends, there are more to see...

That´s for sure :)

I loved each and every one of these shots. You have captured the city in ways that many travel blogs/brochures never do. It is with the eyes of a photographer/architect/historian that you view cities, in their entirety.

It is with this kind of interest that I view them. They do deserve to be seen and I have immensely enjoyed walking behind as you show off the pictures. You have captured one of the reasons I also love Krakow and that is their love of religious roots, to this day celebrating the feasts and bringing the whole town along.

Wonderful post!

Aww, thank you very much for this lovely comment Denise. I really appreciate you took the time to stop by and check out the photos, even though you have probably been to all of those places yourself. Thanks again, have an amazing weekend :)

thank you for sharing with us. I really like the architecture in this city. The place in the first and fifth photos, I think I see it on TV before. I can't remember it now but it looks familiar to me. Can I ask what was the parade with the horses about?

Thank you for your kind feedback, Dora :) The place you mentioned is an artsy neighborhood located just a short walk north of the main square. Very cool place. And those horses... It´s not a parade actually, just a line of horse carriages that take tourists on a tour around the city center. Frankly, I am not a fan of this attraction, in summer the poor horses have to draw heavy carriages in direct sunlight...

Oh no. It's heartbroken to hear that. I thought it was a parade or something for one day and then the horses would be back to the grass fields. It's so sad :(

Aesthetically beautiful. Mesmerizing to say the least.

Thank you for these kind words :) I am really happy about the feedback this post is getting...

It's deserved :)

Wow, these are beautiful places you have captured in the City. I think you should come up with a video documentary of city, a lot of people will live to see the tradition and cultures of the city.

Thank you. That´s a good idea, I can shoot some videos too :) Stay tuned.

I will be looking forward to that as well.

These pictures look really beautiful...the street look beautiful too and the building also..
You took all from a nice angle..well done.i love to see it

Thank you very much, I am glad to know you enjoyed this post :)
