EDSA has a length of 23.8 kilometers (14.8 miles). It passes through 6 cities namely; Pasay, Makati, Mandaluyong, San Juan, Quezon and Caloocan. Super Malls are located along EDSA. Expensive and luxurious condominium, hotels and buildings are also located along this major avenue. In the middle of this highway is the Metro Rail Transit that bring commuters to different cities. It accommodates 156,000 vehicles everyday and 350,000 people travel through this avenue. It connects the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and South Luzon Expressway.

The government of the Philippines is trying very hard to de-congest Metro Manila to relieve major streets from long hour of traffic jams. Bringing different businesses to the countryside to prevent people from coming to the Metro.
