St. James Way is on my list too. I actually didn't know that it starts only about an hour drive from where we live...
The Glarus Alps are one of my favourites. Would you do the entire Via Glaralpina, or just some bits?

The St. James Way is ideal for getting to know the country it passes through. It takes you to places you wouldn't normally get to see. And what's more, you get to meet the locals.
This year, we crossed one ridge along the Via Glaralpina route, and it was absolutely fantastic. So I'm thinking about doing the whole thing. Even if it takes several trips. Because I probably won't get time off for the whole trip in one go.
