Praying Mantis Camouflage

Last week came and gone, introducing us to this new month, the month of May. I kindly use this opportunity to appreciate you all and welcome you to the new month.

Praying Mantis was considered a farmer's friend due to the fact that it feeds on insects and pests attacking farm crops. They multiply and grow very fast during the spring as many engage in farming activities.

This Praying Mantis Was caught hiding by this maize plant and looks almost invisible. It's colours match with that of the plant. This is our farm land and I went to check out how well they were growing, and I saw this beauty in nature.

I saw its head and it's butt and this time it wasn't praying :D. The heads of the plant was all nice and green. In the next few months, we will be enjoying the maize from the harvest.

What do you think this farmer's friend is doing? Would you have easily seen it? What would be your reaction? Comments are open wide :).
