I also went to Venice this year and heard the same about the locals. It's true that many locals indeed left already due to the heavy tourist season and the price of the products as many cannot afford that price/ economy for daily life. The crowd I saw in Venice, I won't be living there... Great photographs...

Same. We tried to avoid the crowd as much as possible and had our trip booked at the begi of November last year, but there were still a lot of tourits. I wouldn't want to live in a place like that either, especially if it turns into a little chaos with so many tourists around.. every single day..
