Some late October scenes for Wednesday Walk

in Photography Loversyesterday (edited)

This time I decided to shake off the dust from my wide-angle 16-35mm Canon lens – I haven't touched it for a while. It's a wonderful lens! Some scenes are impossible to capture with it, but sometimes I get tired of using my telephoto and want to capture not just fragments of buildings or people's faces, but larger scenes as well. xD

Streets does have some exciting signs of Hellowin coming. (We got a few small pumpkins too - I will see if we can get something from them with my daughter).

A golden carpet of maple leaves can still be found in some yards... but more often than not, everything has been swept away and huge black bags of dead leaves stand there...

Золотой Ковер кленовых листьев еще можно найти в некоторых дворах... но чаще там уже все подметено и стоят огромные черные мешки с мертвыми листьями...

This mountain of dead leaves is ready for disposal, awaiting only the garbage collectors and their big car. (In fact, I borrowed a wide-angle lens exactly to photograph this certain scene.) Of course, I liked them much better as a soft golden carpet; no discussion needed for that...

Found some spectacular fungi family on a stump. My guess these were edible Oysters.

The same Dove Assembly was camping again at the wires. This is the capture I could get without telephoto lens.

A puddle. A deep, dreary, joyless October puddle. Soon there will be few subjects left that capture my attention and invite me to point my camera at them. In fact, that time has already arrived...

Лужа. Глубокая тоскливая безрадостная Осенняя Лужа. Скоро останется мало сюжетов, притягивающих внимание и приглашающих меня навести на них камеру. Фактически, это время уже наступило...

The last capture I made in the evening, on my way back home. The Big Mosque I pass by everyday, was especially attractive in the little misty haze. Also I could take the whole scene - it was borrowing the wide-angle lens that made it possible.

Frankly speaking it is a very typical view -- I am surrended by scenes like that, they are all around, at every corner!
xD

Some fantastic pictures you managed to snap along your walk. Funny how using a different lens allows you to do much more isn't it? Great job, that mosque looks kind of spooky in the lighting and mist there doesn't it? Perfect for the pre-Halloween feel along with the jack-o'-lanterns!

Grazie, tnks for compliments. I wish I had more mist - then perhaps I'd want to cancel my visit to the office at all, and changed it for shooting fun in the park! Heh. Just kidding...
