It's not every day you get the chance to try out one of your dream cameras. That's what happened to me on a trip to Leipzig. I was loaned a Hasselblad X2D 100C with a 28mm lens, the Hasselblad XCD 4/28 P. A real gem!
Without hesitation, I went out for a tour of the city, taking some street photos in the downtown area. I took some photos of interior courtyards, exteriors, and, of course, the majestic and impressive Monument to the Battle of the Nations.
For someone accustomed to using more modest cameras, from Nikon and Canon, holding a Hasselblad in my hands is beyond words. If you add to that the feeling when you see the results, you're completely in shock. I loved the colors it produced, as well as the level of detail in both light and shadow, not to mention the sharpness. In short, it's exceptional.
Was the experience worth it? Of course it was, although I felt like I'd betrayed my Canon RP. I think this has helped me love and value it even more, because after all, it's the one that always accompanies me on my photographic adventures.

No todos los días se te presenta la oportunidad de poder probar una de las cámaras de tus sueños. Eso fue lo que me sucedió en un viaje a Leipzig. me prestaron nada más y nada menos que una Hasselblad X2D 100C con un lente de 28 mm el Hasselblad XCD4/28 P. Una verdadera joya!!!
Ni corto ni perezoso salí a dar un recorrido por la ciudad, haciendo algunas fotos de calle, por la zona del centro. Hice algunas fotos de patios interiores, de exteriores y no pudieron faltar algunas del majestuoso e impresionante Monumento a la Batalla de las Naciones.
Para alguien que está acostumbrado a utilizar cámaras más modestas, de Nikon y Canon, tener en las manos una Hassy no se puede describir con palabras. Si a eso le sumas lo que sientes cuando ves los resultados, quedas totalmente en shock. Me encantaron los colores que da, así como el nivel de detalle tanto en luces como en sombras y para que hablar del la nitidez. En resumen, es excepcional.
Valió la pena la experiencia? Por supuesto que sí, aunque me sentí como si hubiera traicionado a mi Canon RP. Creo que esto me ha servido para quererla y valorarla aún más, pues a fin de cuentas es la que me acompaña siempre en mis aventuras fotográficas.
