In the past I shoot a lot of landscapes
but I wanted to mix things up and since I sail with a lot of different people due to my job I started to take portraits here and there. My most favorite subject are old wrinkly sailors. If you look closely and use some imagination you can see each wave of their life in their faces.He is not the most experiences sailor but he has no lack of enthusiasm :)
He sailed more than 45 years, is vegan, English and can be very funny.
Very sympathetic young sailor girl. A couple of years we did sail together and never stopped having contact.
He is a master mariner and sailed his whole life. We sailed across the Mediterranean sea together.
We did some maritime schooling together.
He sailed a couple of times around the world and ended up in Hamburg... Weird but lovely man!
A super calm, relaxed, enjoyable sailor dude. We had a lot of fun sailing together!
Guess how long she sailed the seven sea's! (She is 65 by the way)
He is a very enthusiastic crew member :) If I needed a hand, Chris was always there <3
He not only looks like, he actually sailed his whole life :)

These are some excellent portraits and quite the cast of characters! A beauty in each one of these personalities. I would guess 5 of them have circumnavigated. I would guess of the 5... 3 of them have more than once. Just guesses though ahhaha
its all about the guess =) - i love some guessing here or there, nothing to lose anyway's =)
The funny english guy, the Master mariner, the weird but lovely guy and the 65 year lady. They circumnavigated!
