One of the sites to see was the "Drielandenpunt" which was nearby where we were staying. It is a site that connects three different countries. Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. We took the car and parked the car at a nearby parking spot. We noticed a tall tower where you could see all three countries. Below, there was a little café where you could purchase tickets to enter the tower and get some food and drinks.

As you may have noticed in the pictures, the weather was quite nice. A bit too sunny for my taste as I was sweating just by looking at the spiral staircase. Luckily, there was an elevator, so I didn't have to think twice when choosing which path to go up. But it was a trick! To reach the top, you needed to walk a few steps. After leaving the elevator I was greeted by a summer breeze which I happily welcomed. It wasn't that much of a battle to walk those few steps to reach the top after all.

So, at the top, there is a huge glass floor, which allows you to look underneath your feet. I'm not scared of heights or something, but I could feel my stomach getting some vibes after walking on that glass flooring. Luckily, it was thicc af (just like the Angel Oak tree). Ah... as I look at the pictures and started writing about the glass floor, I couldn't see any glass floor. I had to google it -once again- to actually make sure I wasn't full of shit. See @lackofcolor: it's always nice to take lots of photographs (stop me when I say something like: "it would be nice to not take pictures and enjoy the moment as it is without my camera"), just make sure I bring my camera with me next time.

Anyway, Google made sure I wasn't going crazy as I am writing this post. The lookout tower was nice, we spend some time and we took some polaroids and photographs with my camera that I'll share below. If you ever plan to visit the South of the Netherlands, make sure to check this out as. I mean, you can brag that you were visiting 3 countries during 1 holiday. Actually, 4 if you visit the Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial. On a lower deck, you could use a binocular stand to get a closer look at your surroundings, I tried it once, and because I have a camera, I don't tend to use these "binoculars" that often.

A trip around the world

When I was a bit younger, I desperately wanted to visit Australia, but something was holding me back (probably myself). Well, as we all get older, and we see so many Youtube clips about Australia and its deadly inhabitants, it probably was for the best, as I do see myself walking somewhere I shouldn't be. I mean... I didn't hesitate to crawl up next to a Black Widow.

Cheers,
Ruben
