I believe that's the actual birthday of the person it's meant to be a birthday celebration for XD
I'm generally not in photos either for the same reason. Every now and again I'll think about doing a selfie (and even less often I might actually do one).
It is looking quite nice. Star scraping the roof is exactly as it should be XP
unless you have high ceilings like my parents do in which case the tree might be "too big"
