Intro
The excavation sites of the houses that are set up in the open-air museum can be found just a few kilometers from the Ipf. As a sign that is still clearly visible, one of the two large burial mounds was rebuilt after the excavation.
Nur ein paar Kilometer vom Ipf entfernt sind die Ausgrabungsstätten der Häuser, die im Freilichtmuseum aufgebaut sind zu finden. Als immer noch gut sichtbares Zeichen ist einer der beiden Großgrabhügel nach der Ausgrabung wieder aufgebaut worden.
The information on the plaques is relatively small, as are the finds. The great mound, no longer existent, was certainly robbed a long time ago and has not brought to light any particular finds.
Auf den Tafeln ist die Information relativ gering, so wie die Funde auch. Der nicht mehr existente große Hügel wurde sicherlich schon vor langer Zeit beraubt und hat keine besonderen Funde zu Tage gebracht.
At the smaller mound, however, a cremation burial with rich ceramic offerings was found. Most of the objects can be seen in the museum in Bopfingen. After the scientific robbery, the mound was simply filled up again. and is more reminiscent of a slightly oversized molehill than a holy place of the dead.
Beim kleineren Hügel ist man allerdings auf eine Brandbestattung mit reichlichen Keramikbeigaben gestoßen. Die Objekte sind zum großen Teil im Museum in Bopfingen zu sehen. Nach der wissenschaftlichen Ausraubung wurde der Hügel einfach wieder aufgeschüttet. und errinnert eher an einen etwas zu groß geratenen Maulwurfshügel als eine heilige Stätte der Toten.

Hier sollte eine Geländewelle zu sehen sein, die vom großen Hügel auf Luftbildern zu erkennen ist.
In any case, the dead had a good look at the Ipf, but much remains hidden in the darkness of history and challenges your own imagination.
Einen guten Blick zum Ipf hatten die Toten jedenfalls, vieles bleibt aber im Dunkeln der Geschichte verborgen und fordert die eigene Phantasie heraus.
On the way to Nördlingen I drove past the Goldberg, many traces of the past were also discovered here, but it was now too late for a hike.
Auf dem Weg nach Nördlingen bin ich noch am Goldberg vorbeigefahren, hier wurden ebenfalls viele Spuren der Vergangenheit entdeckt, aber für eine Wanderung war es nun zu spät.
