Grasshoopers

KoHi hive lovers, how are you? Hope you are well and happy today. Meet again with my blog which this time displays some photos about Grasshoppers .

Grasshoppers are herbivorous insects of the suborder Caelifera in the order Orthoptera which have antennae that are almost always shorter than their bodies and also have short ovipositors. The sound that some grasshopper species make is usually produced by rubbing the hind femur against the forewings or abdomen (called stridulation), or by the flapping of their wings during flight. The femur at the back is generally long and strong which is suitable for use. These insects generally have wings, although their wings are sometimes unable to fly. Female grasshoppers are generally larger than male grasshoppers Source

If you look at the shape and color of the grasshopper's body, it has many types, such as the one in my photo

Chrysochraon dispar (Large Gold Grasshopper) is a species of Orthoptera in the family short-horned grasshoppers.

Leptysma marginicollis, the cattail toothpick grasshopper or slender locust, is a grasshopper. It has a very pointed head and flattened, sword-shaped antennae

Acrida cinerea, the Chinese grasshopper (though this name is also applied to Oxya chinensis), the long-headed grasshopper, and the Oriental long grasshopper, are members of the family Acrididae. Like other members of the genus Acrida, Acrida cinerea do not have stridulation organs in their legs and so they do not make sounds when moving. It has historically been used as a human food source, and has been researched for its nutritional value for the poultry industry Source

Conocephalus melaenus, sometimes known as the black-kneed conehead or black-kneed meadow katydid is a species of Tettigoniidae
That's my post this time I hope you like it and thank you for visiting my blog
