Here are some photos of a fall festival at an equestrian center.
The festival starts out with a flag show that is highly choreographed.
The prance around in circles and zig sags in symmetrical formations.
Sadly they were blasting a weird rap country song to this which kind of ruined the atmosphere lol.
Next up they showed off a few Arabian horses while an announcer went over the history of the breed.
You can see how their neck and body shape is different than the workhorses.
Arabians are much smaller and can run quite fast.
Next up was a show featuring the Beetles' greatest hits with each horse themed as one of the beetle. The pink one was Ringo.
The green one was John.
The blue one was Paul.
The red one was George Harrison.
They even painted their instrument on their back lol.
Now for a bit of gymnastics but on top of horses lol.
Perhaps this is the original prairie surfing method.
Now its time for everyone to pet the horses and feed them carrots. Quite a bit of fun especially for my toddler who later built a hobby horse at a workshop here.

My wife used to do all these events and they're still basically doing the exact same moves for the flag riding and how they show the horses. Sadly this year was a bit lower key than prior years where they had carriages and draft horses along with the tiny little mini ponies.
When we were in Amish country this summer, there were lots of horses and carriages of course but we also saw a small cart with one rider pulled by a pair of mini ponies 😂
That one was the low carbon emission carriage.
