I am jealous of those owl and loon pictures. Very rare around here. Good harvest of berries and peas, get them before the critters.

We have a nesting pair of bald eagles on the other side of the lake but the sun was so bad I didn't get any usable pictures. In the bad old days before the evironmental movement got going, loons and eagles were on the endangered list and almost gone from around here. Loons were down to 7 breeding pairs in Vermont in the 80s. Now, I could drive/hike to 7 pairs tomorrow morning before lunch if you wanted to come visit 🙂 Tomorrow is actually loon count day.
