Today we will look at the Prague metro station on line C, which is called Pankrác. It is named after the district in which is station located. But this station was not always called that. Until 1990, it was called Mládežnická. Let's take a look inside.
Dnes si představíme stanici Pražského metra na lince C, která se jmenuje Pankrác. Svoje jméno nese podle čtvrti ve které se nachází. Ale ne vždy se taka tato stanice jmenovala. Do roku 1990 se nazývala Mládežnická. Pojďme se podívat dovnitř.
Pankrác station is again an excavated structure, but unlike the previous ones, the platform is supported by columns in two rows. The exit is situated in the middle of the platform and escalators lead to the vestibule from both exits. Koelga marble and Zbuzany marble were used as materials for wall cladding. And Hlinec granite, Šluknov syenite and Mrákotín granite were used on the platform. The platform is 14 meters below the surface, and the project was carried out by the company Interprojekt Praha with architect Zdeněk Štolfa.
Stanice Pankrác je opět hloubené konstrukce, ale na rozdíl od předchozích je nástupiště podpíráno sloupy ve dvou řadách. Výstup je situován do prostřed nástupiště a z obou východů vedou do vestibulu eskalátory. Jako materiály pro obklad stěn byly použity Mramor Koelga, Zbuzanský mramor. A na nástupišti byly použity Hlinecká žula, Šluknovský syenit a Mrákotínská žula. Nástupiště leží 14 metrů pod povrchem a na projekci se podílela firma Interprojekt Praha s architektem Zdeňkem Štolfou.
The vestibule of the station also lies below the surface under the so-called Pankrác plain. Where at the end of the 80s of the 20th century, a modern district with high-rise buildings was created. Later, a shopping center was built here and the vacant spaces were filled with office buildings.
Vestibul stanice leží taktéž pod povrchem pod takzvanou Pankráckou plání. Kde koncem 80. let 20.století vznikala na tu dobu moderní čtvrť s výškovými budovami. Později zde bylo postaveno nákupní centrum a volné prostory byly zaplněny kancelářskými budovami.
Currently, the area around the station is one big construction site, because the construction of a brand new metro line D is underway here.
