The End of Summer & Strange Findings

IMG_9700zz.jpg

There are a few tell tale signs out here on the prairie that summer has come to an end. The most obvious is that the harvest is over, and most (if not all) crops/bales have been cleared from the fields. This photo turned out better than I thought it would !! To me, the tall iron towers are juxtaposed here in this field. Its almost like they dont belong in amongst the crops that are planted and grow here every year.

I wanted to take these photos at sunset. This photo is the same as the first, but it was one of the first pics i snapped before the sun started to set.

You can see bales for miles :) Oh, and all of these bales were removed the following day.

From this angle, you can see the gentle rolling of the hills.

The next couple of photos were taken in a different field. They still have all those signs for me that summer is close to its end. The harvest is completed here too. Nothing is really growing anymore and the earth is very dry.

Thats my sweetheart in this photo, doing a bit of clean up. He is holding part of a skeleton to an animal we found in this field.

Most of the skeleton is intact though. Scavengers more than likely carried off various pieces of this animal.

This year summer seemed to fly by! I am looking forward to fall now so i can capture all the beautiful colors through the lens of my camera !!
