Hallo Hive-Welt, ich hoffe euch geht es gut.😎
Über die letzten 7 Monate habe ich mir selbst eine "Social Media Diät" verordnet, die mir sehr gut getan hat.
Ich war viel in der realen Welt unterwegs und habe zahlreiche tolle Nächte mit anderen Lichtverrückten verbracht. Neben jeder Menge Spaß sind auch noch ein paar Lightpaintingbilder entstanden, die ich euch hier bei Hive nach und nach zeigen möchte.
We started with a visit to an abandoned airfield near Berlin. For two nights we had the opportunity to play with our torches.
Los geht es mit einem Besuch auf einem verlassenen Flugplatz in der Nähe von Berlin. Zwei Nächte hatten wir hier die Möglichkeit uns mit unseren Taschenlampen auszutoben.

Auf dem Luftbild von Sven Gerard @lichtkunstfoto kann man die Größe dieses Areals erahnen. Zum Glück konnten wir uns mit dem Auto auf dem Gelände bewegen.

For my first image idea, I chose an old vehicle hall. After I entered it, I actually wanted to turn around again, because it smelled awful in this hall. For a moment I thought of a corpse, but then it was just a barrel of waste or what was left of it.
Für meine erste Bildidee habe ich mir eine alte Fahrzeughalle ausgesucht. Nachdem ich diese betreten habe, wollte ich eigentlich schon wieder umdrehen, weil es in dieser Halle bestialisch gestunken hat. Einen kurzen Moment hatte ich an eine Leiche gedacht, es war dann aber nur eine Tonne mit Abfällen oder was davon noch übrig war.
For the light painting I used two torches and a stencil. A Convoy S2+ in blue and a KDLitker E6 in red.
Luckily it only took two attempts to realise the painting idea. On the third try I probably would have thrown up. After the picture was in the box, I urgently needed to get some fresh air.
Für das Lightpainting habe ich zwei Taschenlampen und eine Schablone benutzt. Eine Convoy S2+ in blau und eine KDLitker E6 rot.
Zum Glück hat es nur zwei Versuche gebraucht, um die Bildidee umzusetzen. Beim dritten Versuch hätte ich mich wahrscheinlich übergeben. Nachdem das Bild im Kasten war, musste ich dringend an die frische Luft.
Next to the vehicle hall is this small hangar. I have no idea what it was used for until 1992.
I used the hangar for my second shot that night.
Neben der Fahrzeughalle befindet sich diese kleine Hangar. Keine Ahnung wozu dieser bis 1992 diente.
Den Hangar nutzte ich dann für mein zweites Bild in dieser Nacht.

After illuminating the hangar with the D18 and a yellow colour filter, I positioned myself in the picture and Ralf @candelart briefly illuminated me with the torch. Thanks for your help Ralf!
On the left edge of the picture, you can see the city lights of Berlin on the horizon.
Nachdem ich den Hangar mit der D18 und einem gelben Farbfilter ausgeleuchtet hatte, positionierte ich mich selbst im Bild und Ralf @candelart beleuchtete mich kurz mit der Taschenlampe. Danke für deine Hilfe Ralf!
Links am Bildrand sieht man am Horizont die Stadtbeleuchtung von Berlin.
The last location Sven @lichtkunstfoto and I chose for this night was this huge hangar. Built by the Nazis and apparently not used by the Russians after the Second World War. As you can clearly see, a small forest is already growing in the hangar and all that is left of the hangar roof is the metal framework. The wooden roof was already lying on the ground. So walking through the hangar in the dark was not without danger, because there were very long nails sticking out of the wood. During the illumination, you always had to keep one eye on where you were walking.
Als letzte Location für diese Nacht nahmen Sven @lichtkunstfoto und ich uns diesen riesigen Hangar vor. Gebaut von den Nazis und nach dem 2. Weltkrieg anscheinend nicht weiter genutzt von den Russen. Wie man deutlich erkennen kann, wächst in dem Hangar bereits ein kleiner Wald und von dem Dach des Hangars ist nur noch das Metallgerüst übrig geblieben. Die Dachlatten lagen bereits auf dem Boden. In der Dunkelheit durch den Hangar zu laufen, war also nicht ganz ungefährlich, da aus den Latten sehr lange Nägel rausguckten. Während der Ausleuchtung musste man immer mit einem Auge gucken, wo man entlang läuft.

For this shot, the idea was actually quite simple. Illuminate the hangar and the front building with the full power of the D18 in two different colours. Then turn the camera 180° upside down on my Camera Rotation Tool and repeat the lighting again.
During the first round, I already realised that this was a stupid idea that involved a lot of work.
I had to climb into every room of the front building, but in some cases the entrances were overgrown or there were lots of other objects in the way. Then I had to find the access to the back of the actual hangar to add some light to the roof. Sven @lichtkunstfoto then turned the camera 180° and the whole fun started again. After more than 27 minutes of exposure time, the picture was finally ready. By the way, Sven had dozed off for a short while after he had passed the time with a few beers. Thank you for your support with this idea.
Für dieses Bild war die Idee eigentlich ganz einfach. Den Hangar und den Vorbau mit der vollen Power der D18 in zwei verschiedenen Farben ausleuchten. Anschließend die Kamera auf meinem Camera Rotation Tool um 180° auf den Kopf drehen und die Ausleuchtung nochmal wiederholen.
Während des ersten Durchgangs merkte ich schon, dass das eine doofe Idee war, die mit reichlich Arbeit verbunden war.
Ich musste in jeden Raum des Vorbaus klettern, teilweise waren die Zugänge aber zugewachsen oder es lagen jede Menge andere Gegenstände im Weg. Danach musste ich den Zugang zum hinteren Teil des eigentlichen Hangars finden, um dem Dach noch etwas Licht zu verpassen. Sven @lichtkunstfoto drehte dann die Kamera um 180° und der ganze Spaß ging von vorne los. Nach über 27 min. Belichtungszeit war das Bild dann endlich fertig. Sven war im übrigen kurz eingenickt, nachdem er sich die Zeit mit ein paar Bier vertrieben hatte. Danke für Deine Unterstützung bei dieser Bildidee.

Schön, dass du aus deiner Abstinenz wieder hierher gefunden- und so tolle Bilder abgeliefert hast. Da bin ich gespannt, was da noch kommt. Klasse Arbeit!
Vielen Dank mein Lieber, ja hat etwas gedauert sich da wieder einzuarbeiten. Aber irgendwie bringt Hive ja auch Spaß, habe ich heute wieder gemerkt. In den letzten Monaten hat sich eine Menge Bildmaterial angesammelt, was jetzt Stück für Stück auch mal gezeigt werden muss. Wenn die Bilder nur auf der Festplatte versauern, dann sieht ja auch keiner was ich eigentlich so treibe....😎
