Pine cones on a cedar tree with a coating of ice. Some are covered with ice crystals other places have a glaze of ice. The ice is from the atmosphere freezing, fog turning to ice not snow. The snow storms come later tonight 🙄
A cluster of pine cones hanging down from a branch.
More pine cones, its seems there was a bumper crop of pine cones this year on the cedars but also the white pine in the area.
A cluster of oak leaves still on the tree. Oak trees hang on to their leaves all winter.
Frozen lake. Pretty barren. Looks like the frozen tundra of the far north. Or with a monochrome edit maybe it would look like the desolate desert.
Yipes all that cold Canadian air. Here almost all the snow is gone and I saw a flock of robins, pretty weird this early. My guess is they are arriving early for the cicada invasion that will happen soon.
Yeah that last photo is depressing lol its been raining here off and on this week so lots of snow melted but we are supposed to get a few inches tonight to top up the tank 🙄
Oomph time to start builing igloos.
Great macro photography!
Thanks. Looking to change it up from the foggy landscapes. Which are still out there 🙁 no sun for awhile now
Great frozen shots! I’ve missed out on capturing frozen pictures while we had a cold few days here. Always too dark for pictures when I get back home from work 🤷🏻♀️
Thanks. It does get dark early this time of year but the days are gradually getting longer 🙂
Beautiful
Thannks. Cold but beautiful 🥶

Interesting pic of the frozen lake. It is like some wave are frozen or did something created a line/path in the frozen water. 🤔
Thanks. The line is created by the wind creating a little "sand" dune like the desert.
You're welcome. Interesting, I was thinking how a wave can be frozen at first
