Time to kick off fall properly with a visit to Happy Valley Orchard in Middlebury, Vermont.
Love the big red apple sign out front and the pumpkins and mums on display.
They made these fun signs last year and put them out at the turn offs leading to the orchard.
Here is their old sign - kind of feels like an old timey "Mom" tattoo 😆
Here is the reason I was out on Saturday morning. Donuts! Apple cider donuts are so good. Happy Valley is our favorite place to pick up some donuts during the fall. They were still warm when I picked up 6 this morning.
The orchard has this old red Ford truck parked out front loaded down with pumpkins.
My little red Chevy is almost 20 years old but I think that old Ford is probably a 1940s so it would be 80 years old 😲

In addition to Happy Valley Orchard, Mountain Mac Cider Company also is based at the same location in Middlebury.

Apple Cider Donuts! One of the best parts of fall.
I absolutely love that you drive a 20 year old vehicle. I've driven my vehicles for as long as 18 yeas, but never made 20.
The best part is it was my dad's truck 🙂 he passed away a few years ago. I think of him every time I drive it.
I want a warm apple cider donut too. I think that's something that would get me up early on a Sunday morning 😀

They are a delicious treat for the season 🙂 I was so happy they were warm and fresh the morning I picked them up. Sometimes when you go early, they are still selling yesterday afternoons donuts and they don't start making fresh ones right away.
