First some flowers #alwaysaflower a lovely batch of wildflowers in a local field. Lots of daisies in bloom right now.
This #beautifulsunday (hat tip to @ace108) started at home. We have a screened in back porch over looking what we call the swamp. Its a small creek with lots of cattails, reeds, frogs, lightning bugs, and all that kind of stuff. The porch also has some pepper plants and sunflowers growing indoors right now.
We had a beautiful lunch thanks to our neighbor's garden. Fresh spinach and lettuce plus strawberries and nasturtium flowers. We added a few things that aren't ready here yet like tomatoes and onions. Also some goat cheese and a couple of radishes from our own garden.
The reason we have all the goodies from our neighbor's garden is we are helping out with their garden, dog and cabin while they are out of town. I mentioned their dog Cora in my #WednesdayWalk post. We have been walking Cora twice a day for the last week or so.
Their cabin is on Lake Dunmore with great views out the back.
Views out the side aren't bad either 😁
You can walk out the back down to their dock.
Or to the side yard with some Adirondack chairs for chilling. The view is actually the Green Mountains but the chairs still work 🙄
They grew up on the lake and have had their own cabin for many years. They have all the accoutrements - power boat, kayaks, canoe, sailboat.
The overcast finally allowed some sun through and we went out on the kayaks. What a #sublimesunday! (hat tip to @c0ff33a).
